PRESIDENT TRUMP IS ALSO TAKING HEAT FOR HIS PLAN TO EMPLOY
A MERIT-BASED IMMIGRATION SYSTEM EVEN THOUGH MANY OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN EMPLOYING IT
THIS WAS MY BRIEF OPINION IN RESPONSE TO TRUMP'S MOST RECENT REQUEST FOR MY OPINION, VIA HIS FREQUENT "Listening to America Surveys", ON WHETHER THIS MERIT - BASED IMMIGRATION SYSTEM SHOULD BE DECREASED IF UNEMPLOYMENT GOES DOWN.
A "merit-based" immigration system that would prioritize high-skilled immigrants, would not harm American workers by lowering wages and preventing assimilation, as did the "family-based" immigration system, but the assessment of "merit", much like the reduction or increase of the "merit-based" immigration system, should be based only on catering to particular industries’ specific needs that are reported as not having been met by the qualifications of American workers
