TRUMP IS TAKING HEAT FOR HIS TARIFF PLANS,

HERE IS MY OWN HUMBLE OPINION WHICH I SENT TO PRESIDENT TRUMP IN RESPONSE TO A SURVEY QUESTION ON THIS SUBJECT MATTER THAT WAS SENT TO ME BY HIS HEADQUARTERS:

Inviting the countries of the world to negotiate their way out of heavy new taxes on steel and aluminum imported to the United States by convincing that their steel and aluminum exports don’t threaten American industry, much like the temporary exemption of Canada and Mexico until satisfactory "North American trade deal " renegotiations are reached, is a very smart and diplomatic way of slapping tariffs until more comprehensive and "allies friendly" solutions can be found along the tarrif way.

Even the Trump-hating New York Times, who wrote an anti-Trump article on this subject matter, concluded its analytical article with the following paragraph:

"It’s tempting to evaluate economic policy these days with a rule of “if Trump is for it, I’m against it.” After all, this rule would lead to the right stance far more often than not. But a better framework is to ask: “Is it good for the bottom 90 percent of American workers and the families they help support?” And on this latter question, criticism of last week’s tariffs largely misses the mark".
